WMD has prepared two tables to assist administrators, field officials, and industry representatives in quickly identifying new or recently modified NIST Handbook 44 requirements that have just gone into effect and existing requirements with fast approaching effective dates.The first table, titled "NIST Handbook 44 Codes (With Approaching Retroactive and Nonretroactive Enforcement Dates)" includes existing NIST Handbook 44 requirements that have approaching retroactive or nonretroactive enforcement dates. The second table, titled "NIST Handbook 44 Codes Newly Adopted or Recently Modified (Effective January 1, 2010)" includes NIST Handbook 44 requirements that are either new or were recently modified and become effective on January 1, 2010.

NIST Weights and Measures Division Contact Management System
This new, interactive database will allow you to update your contact information, submit comments on draft publications or request training on a range of weights and measures subjects as listed in the course index. Also, you can request documents and training CDs online and then view the status of your request. In order to use the database, you will need to register. To do that, go to the link listed below and follow the instructions for requesting a password. Your request will be processed within one business day, and then you can begin to use the system.
