Kurt Fischer is a lead assessor for A2LA, NVLAP, and ANSI (TCB and IC FCB assessor) in the technical sectors of EMC, Bluetooth Wireless Technology, Automotive (AEMCLRP Program), Radio, and Telecommunications.

Kurt is a former voting member of IEEE 802.15 WPAN WG which released the IEEE 802.15.1 Standard (the PHY and MAC international standard for the Bluetooth Specification).Professional Memberships and Activities include: Senior member of IEEE; NARTE Certified EMC Engineer; Chairman of the A2LA EMAC Advisory Group EMC Sector, former Chairman and Co-Founder of Dallas/Ft Worth IEEE EMC Society Chapter; former Secretary of IEEE 802.15.2 WPAN Coexistence Task Group (1999). Vice Chairman of IEEE EMC International Symposium in Dallas Texas.

Education: MSEE candidate at University of Texas at Austin. Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Millersville University of Pennsylvania (1978).
