Efrain Guevara

Efrain held various engineering and network planning positions with Bell-Northern Research, Bell Canada and Stentor from 1975 until 2000. Since 1986 Efrain has been involved in the development of telecommunications standards, in particular, performance and network protection standards for terminal equipment.

In January 2001, Efrain joinedIndustry Canada as Manager of Interconnection Standards. Efrain servesas chair of the Technical Task Force of the Terminal Attachment ProgramAdvisory Committee (TAPAC). He also participates in TIA Committee TR-41,CITEL PCC.I, and the APEC TEL Working Group.

Efrain earned his B.A.Sc.in Electrical Engineering at the University of Ottawa in 1973 and hisM.A.Sc. in Electrical Engineering in 1975 from the same institution.
