ZetinaVélez is actively participating and obtained many directive positionsat the most important International FORA on Business Development, Standardization,Policies and Regulations on Telecommunications, such as the Inter -American Telecommunications Commission CITEL of the OAS; the negotiationsof the North American Free Trade Agreement NAFTA, the Free Trade AgreementMexico – European Union, the Free Trade Area of The Américas(FTAA), the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) on its Telecommunicationssector APEC-Tel., and at the International Telecommunications Union(ITU) in its different Assemblies, Conferences, Sectors and Study Groups.
Alberto Zetina was electedat the ITU World Telecom Development Conference 2002 in Istanbul, Turkey,as Vice President of the ITU-D advisory Group (TDAG) for the Americas,Vice President of the Working Group on Private Sector Issues of theTDAG, Global responsible for Regulatory Issues, and Regional Responsibleon Telecommunications Development Issues for the Americas.
Also Vice Rapporteur of the Working Group on “Migration of WirelessSystems / Networks to IMT-2000 and Beyond” of the ITU-D / SG2.
Founder and first TrilateralPresident of the Consultative Committee on Telecommunications for theNAFTA (CCT/NAFTA). From 1993 to 1998.
Founder of the National Associationof Telecommunications ANATEL A.C. Today He is the Legal Representativeand Secretary of the Directive Board. Also since 2002 is President ofthe Lobbying and Legal Analysis Task Group.
Coordinator of the JointTask Group SCT/CANIETI/ANATEL/CIME/NYCE and Industries Related, to analyzethe Legal, Regulatory and Political implications and proposals to introducenew technologies and services using the Radio Electric Spectrum. Mainlyfor WiFi, WiMAX, RLAN & IMT-2000 and systems beyond.
From 1981 to 2000 was activeparticipant, President of the Telecomm Manufacturers Section, Presidentof the National Standardization Committee and Vice President for InternationalAffairs of the National Chamber of Telecommunications and Electronics(CANIECE / CANIETI).
Since 1996 is Vice Chairmanof the Working Group on Conformity Assessment Procedures and MutualRecognition Agreement of CITEL PCC1. He was also Vice Chairman of thesame working group in APEC-Tel from 1996 to 2000.
Since November 2002 Mr. Alberto Zetina is Proprietary Member of theNational Technical Committee for Social Connectivity Program (Fondode Cobertura Social de Telecomunicaciones) of the Mexican Ministry ofCommunications and Transportation SCT.
Since June 2003, AlbertoZetina is Coordinator of the Joint Private Sector / Government WorkingGroup on Regulatory and Legal analysis for the WiFi / BUL implementationin Mexico.
Since 2002 is Member of theXXII Directive Board of Asociación Nacional de Ingenieros UniversitariosMecánicos Electricistas A.C. AIUME. Also since 2002 is GeneralDirector if the Institute of Engineering on Information Technologies.
Since 1987 have had differentdirective positions in ERICSSON Telecom S.A. de C.V., in the areas ofMarketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Product Unit responsible, General Managerof PCB Manufacturing Company, and since 1993 ALBERTO ZETINA VÉLEZis Vice President of Governmental, Political and Regulatory Affairsfor Latin America, the Caribbean and Asia Pacific for L.M. ERICSSONTELECOM.
